As the provider of this website, I am responsible for my own content in accordance with general law. Pursuant to §§ 7 ff. Privacy policy

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

There is no legal obligation to appoint a data protection officer, as the requirements of Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG are not met.

2. General principles and scope of processing

This website is a simple, private web presence. No analysis of usage behaviour takes place. Specifically, the following are used or not used:

  • no cookies
  • no web analytics or audience measurement tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo)
  • no tracking pixels, advertising networks or profiling
  • no social media plug-ins, like or share buttons
  • no contact forms, newsletters or user accounts
  • no external fonts, scripts or media loaded from third-party servers when the site is accessed; all fonts, images and scripts are served from this website's own server

Beyond the data necessary for the technical operation of the website (section 3), personal data is only processed if you contact me yourself by e-mail (section 6). Display settings you choose are stored in your browser only (section 5).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by an external service provider (dataforest GmbH, brand AVORO, Germany). When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically stores information in server log files that your browser transmits. This typically includes:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • date and time of access
  • name and URL of the retrieved file
  • volume of data transferred and status of the retrieval
  • browser type and version, operating system
  • where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer URL)

Purpose: ensuring trouble-free connection setup, convenient use of the website, evaluation of system security and stability, and defence against and investigation of attacks.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest follows from the aforementioned purposes of technically secure operation of the website.

Retention period: log files are deleted or truncated after 7 days, unless they are needed longer to investigate a specific security incident.

This data is not merged with other data sources or evaluated for advertising or analysis purposes. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

4. Encryption

This website uses TLS encryption to protect data in transit (recognisable by “https://” in your browser's address bar). This prevents third parties from reading the data transmitted by your browser.

5. Storage of display settings in your browser

If you actively switch the display (light or dark) or the language (German or English) using the buttons on this website, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) under the keys “zoxai-theme” and “zoxai-lang” so that it is kept for your next visit. Without such a choice, nothing is stored; the display then follows your operating system setting.

The stored information contains no personal data, remains exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to me or to third parties.

Legal basis: the storage is strictly necessary to provide the function you have explicitly requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Retention period: until you delete the entries, which you can do at any time in your browser settings (clear site data for zoxai.de).

6. Contact by e-mail

An e-mail address is provided on the website as a “mailto” link. Clicking on it merely opens your local e-mail program; no data is transmitted to me at this point.

If you send me an e-mail, I process the data you transmit (your e-mail address, your name and the content of your message) exclusively to handle and respond to your enquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries); if your enquiry is aimed at the conclusion or performance of a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR is an additional legal basis.

Retention period: your message is deleted once your enquiry has been conclusively dealt with and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Please note that an unencrypted e-mail could be read by third parties in transit. For the transmission of confidential information, I recommend an encrypted channel or another means of transmission.

7. Links to external profiles (LinkedIn, TryHackMe)

This website contains simple hyperlinks to my profile on the LinkedIn network and to my profile on the TryHackMe training platform. These are not social media plug-ins: no data is transmitted to these providers and no content is loaded from their servers when you visit my website.

Only when you actively click a link are you redirected to the respective provider and your data (in particular your IP address) transmitted to it. The provider of LinkedIn for users in the European Economic Area is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. I have no influence on the processing there; it takes place under the respective provider's own responsibility. 8. Recipients and third-country transfers

Your personal data is not passed on to third parties, with the exception of the hosting provider named in section 3 as a processor and where I am legally obliged to disclose it. No transfer to countries outside the EU/EEA is intended.

9. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.

10. Your rights as a data subject

You have the following rights vis-à-vis me with regard to your personal data:

  • access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

To exercise your rights, a message to the e-mail address stated above is sufficient.

11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
